I was reading in the comments of The American Papist that when someone tried to specifically flag one of the videos as “hate speech,” You Tube (owned by Google, remember,) stated that Catholics are not a “protected group” and therefore are not covered by any of the site’s anti-hate-speech rules. So much for Google’s policy of “Do No Evil.” (Then again, I started to suspect that was a load of crock when they agreed to censure search results in China.)

I’ve been watching clips from here and am REALLY liking what I see. Catholic, unashamed, faithful, great! I heard about this site from both the message boards at www.fisheaters.com and while listening to Relevant Radio. That’s two positive endorsements right there. The videos are higher quality than I thought they’d be, too. There will be premium features starting next month. It’s $10/month, so I might try it for a month and determine if it’s worth the money. Of course, I need a job first so I HAVE money….prayers on that would be appreciated…. u_u

What the dilly is up with Washington? Guliani (alright, he’s out of the picture, but still,) Pelosi, Durbin (I’m ashamed to say that he’s ours, too, along with Obama,) Kennedy, Biden, etc. etc. etc. What part of YOU CAN’T BE CATHOLIC AND PRO-ABORTION is so hard for these people to understand?!?!?! I don’t want McCain to win, either, but he’s better than Obama. Usually in this situation, I look at the Constitution Party, but I don’t know…. The Libertarian candidate is pro-death, as far as I know, so that’s out… Oi… The one thing I consider a non-option is NOT voting. I’ll write in Donald Duck if I have to. :p

As far as Cedar Point itself, made friends and psudo-enemies (you can only feud so much with a person when you have to see them every dang day.) Made one good friend who I really hope to keep contact with, but we’ll see how it goes.

It was nice going to Mass in my home parish again insomuch as I was dang glad to have a kneeler again and I missed singing the Gloria. In the Masses in Hotel Breakers, we just recited it.

So now begins another phase of my life. We’ll see how it goes, ne? If God doesn’t have my back, I’m sunk, but seeing as how He’s held my sorry hide in existance for 24 years, I think I’ll survive.

As I’ve said to others before, my beef is not that he was cancelled; it’s that this Corvino clown was booked in the first place, and that he STAYED booked for so long; it was an 11th-hour cancellation, but I guess the saying, “better late than never” holds true here. I’m glad that Dr. Balog set the precedent that he can and will use his presidential authority, but I think it does say something about Aquinas that there was not already a policy in place to say, “Look, they can’t bash the Church, mmm’kay?” Ah well. As someone who will be an alumni, I’m very pleased with this.

Now if only they would stop admitting more freshmen than they can afford to house and kicking everyone else off campus, forcing some to drop out of college all together because they cannot attend unless they live on campus. Friggin’ Trustees….but that is another blog for another day.

This makes me smile. It also clarifies the nature of the excommunications for the SSPX.

I’m at work right now. I was treated to a great hand bell choir concert as a result. My final (I think…) band concert of college is tomorrow, and I’m uber sad about that. I really do love band, though my behavior (i.e. practicing and such,) probably says the exact opposite. =-( I want to play at least on the intermission piece at Commencement, as well as at the Baccalaureate Mass, where I’ll also be singing.
