In totally unrelated news, I was just in the room with my mom, and she had CSI on AMC (what the crud is a show that recent doing on that channel???) and there was a man on there who’d pretty much peeled off his face with a broken mirror. How he got to that situation is also disgusting, so I won’t go into it, but daaaaang…they really will show anything on TV these days. It won’t be too soon that I get that image out of my head. u_u Ugh!

EDITED TO CORRECT: It wasn’t CSI; it was one of those movies about Hannibal Lector. I still think an R-rating was too generous to just that scene alone, let alone anything else in the movie.

Somehow, seeing a picture of him in shorts and a t-shirt creeps me out to no end.

The man still has the mark of a priest on his soul–that’s indelible–so he could hear confessions from someone in danger of death, but otherwise he’s a layman once more.

I can only imagine how the other friars have been feeling; it has to be like a member of your family leaving you; rips your heart out.

I swear if it wasn’t at least venially sinful, I’d smack some of the folks on one of the boards I’ve been following this on.  GOOD WORD you’d think they were mini-Popes the way they ring down condemnations.  Ugh.

Anyway, a mini-h week (purgatory week?) has begun in my academic life, so I’ll have to leave it at that.  I WANT to write more, but if I start ranting, this will take forever.  :p
