It’s up, it’s down…
So yesterday YouTube rightfully suspended the account of a user engaging in hate speech against Catholics, specifically desecration of the Eucharist. This was consistent with their past actions of pulling videos of people urinating on Holocaust memorials and the ilk. However, that didn’t last long. Within 24 hours, the videos are back up and the user’s account is reinstated. This, to me, is sheer bull. Anyone with half a brain knows DANG WELL that, were it the Koran being treated thus, there would be NO second chance for that user account. NONE! Think how outraged the MSM was when there were allegations of the Koran being desecrated at Guitanimo {sp?} Bay!
I was reading in the comments of The American Papist that when someone tried to specifically flag one of the videos as “hate speech,” You Tube (owned by Google, remember,) stated that Catholics are not a “protected group” and therefore are not covered by any of the site’s anti-hate-speech rules. So much for Google’s policy of “Do No Evil.” (Then again, I started to suspect that was a load of crock when they agreed to censure search results in China.)
Ack, Java class is starting. I’ll rant more later. >_>
